12 Beauty Products You Need in Your Life
I’ve loved makeup for as long as I can remember. When I was younger I would spend most of my free time watching makeup tutorials on YouTube and practicing different makeup looks. Since I went to an all-girls school, I never wore makeup during the week but as soon as it was the weekend I would put my newfound makeup skills to use.
At that time I was really into eyeshadow and trying to perfect my smokey eye. Now I focus most of my attention on my skin and keep my eyes mostly untouched. I’m still equally as obsessed with makeup tutorials on YouTube but they’re more of a stress reliever rather than a place I find inspiration.
Over the last few years, I’ve cultivated my holy grail collection of go-to beauty products and I’d love to share them with you today!
#1: RIMMEL LASTING FINISH BREATHABLE PRIMER - $6
I have really oily skin and this primer keeps my foundation on all day. It doesn’t affect my oils but it keeps everything in place even when my oils start peaking through.
#2: LOREAL INFALLIBLE FRESH WEAR 24HR FOUNDATION - $10
This is the only foundation I wear now! It’s super lightweight and lasts all day on my oily skin.
#3: WET N WILD PHOTOFOCUS CONCEALER IN MED/DEEP TAN - $5
This is a great lightweight medium coverage concealer!
#4: MAYBELLINE FIT ME LOOSE FINISHING POWDER - $5
This powder converted me from pressed to loose powder. I use the deep shade all over my face and then I use a banana powder under my eyes.
#5: COVERGIRL BRONZER IN EBONY BRONZE - DISCONTINUED
I’m so sad that this is discontinued but I love this bronzer. Bronzer for dark skin is difficult and this one does the job perfectly. I’ll keep you updated on my search for a replacement.
#6: NYX TINTED EYEBROW MASCARA IN ESPRESSO - $5
I only use this product for my brows. The brush is small enough that you can still get a precise application.
#7: RIMMEL EXAGGERATE EYE DEFINER IN BLACKEST BLACK - $5
I’ve completely converted from liquid eyeliner to a kohl liner. I flick this out in the outer corner and then smudge it for a more dramatic look.
#8: MAYBELLINE LASH SENSATIONAL LUSCIOUS MASCARA IN BLACKEST BLACK - $7
A fresh bottle of this mascara is the best! It both lengthens and adds volume, which is everything I want in a mascara.
#9: URBAN DECAY BORN TO RUN EYESHADOW PALETTE - $49
I don’t focus on my eyes as much as I used to but I still love a good eyeshadow palette. I love this palette because it has every color combination that you would ever need. I love its selection of warm tone oranges and browns.
#10: NYX LIP LINER IN ESPRESSO - $4
This is a great low-cost lip liner. I have multiple colors but Espresso is my most used.
#11: MAC LIPGLASS IN SPICE - $18
Along with the NYX lip liner, this is my go-to lip combination. I’m a glossy lips kind of girl but I also like color. This gives the perfect mix of opaque color and super shiny gloss.
#12: INDIGO BY NEST PERFUME - $128
My signature fragrance! My friends and family recognize this scent as me because I wear it often.
